At GENESIZ Studio, we offer weekly K-pop dance classes in Southampton. We welcome participants of all skill levels, and you’re free to join any class regardless of the level indicated. You’ll be learning official K-pop choreographies from your favourite idols, with our instructors offering guidance to help the entire class progress together.

While each session is labelled with a difficulty level—beginner, intermediate, or advanced—to help guide you, everyone is encouraged to participate at their own pace. You'll be learning official K-pop choreographies from your favourite idols, with our instructors offering guidance to help the entire class progress together.

You’ll learn K-pop choreography through step-by-step breakdowns, helping you feel confident, comfortable, and supported as you dance and progress at your own pace.
This intermediate K-pop dance class at GENESIZ Studio is designed for dancers who want to build on their existing skills and take on more detailed and challenging choreography. Classes focus on refining technique, improving control, and developing musicality through guided routines, helping you dance with more confidence and precision.
This advanced K-pop dance class at GENESIZ Studio is designed for experienced dancers with solid foundations. You’ll work through intricate choreography and advanced techniques, with detailed guidance to help you refine your precision, control, and musicality while continuing to grow and perform with confidence.

HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR A CLASS?

DO I HAVE TO BOOK IN ADVANCE?
Yes. All classes must be booked in advance. Schedules are posted on Instagram, so turn on notifications as spots sell out fast.
I DON’T SEE ANY SCHEDULE ON THE WEBSITE?
This means there are no classes scheduled at the moment. Keep an eye on our Instagram for updates, or send us a message to join our WhatsApp community group, where everyone gets faster, daily updates and announcements.
HOW MUCH IS IT PER CLASS?
Our K-pop classes are £10 per class.
WHAT HAPPENS IF A CLASS IS FULLY BOOKED?
You may join the waitlist and will be notified by email if a spot becomes available. Please note that cancellations are rare, so we strongly recommend booking early to avoid
missing out.
IS THERE A CANCELLATION OR RESCHEDULE POLICY?
All bookings are non-refundable. If you can't make it, we're happy to transfer your booking to a different class. Please make sure to notify us in advance!
WHAT STYLES OF DANCE DO YOU TEACH?
We mainly teach K-pop choreography, but we also run original choreography classes created by our talented in-house choreographers. These are perfect for dancers who want to push their skills and explore beyond K-pop.
CAN BEGINNERS JOIN OR DO I NEED EXPERIENCE?
Everyone is welcome to join any class, no matter the level. Each session is labelled beginner, intermediate, or advanced for guidance, but you’re encouraged to learn at your own pace. If you know the song we’re teaching, even better, give it a go!
IT'S MY FIRST TIME ATTENDING, WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW?
Please arrive a few minutes early to give yourself time to settle in and get to know other members. Leave all bags and coats in the lobby, and bring only your drink into the studio.
Wear comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for dancing. Depending on the song, especially for K-pop classes, some dancers may dress to match the theme.
I'M NERVOUS ABOUT COMING ALONE, WILL I FIT IN?
Definitely! You're more than welcome to come alone. Many of our dancers joined by themselves at first and have since made great friends at the studio.
We also recommend joining our WhatsApp group so you can connect with other members.
HOW LONG ARE YOUR CLASSES AND WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
Our K-pop classes are 2 hours long, and the same applies to Choreography and Pop-up classes. We begin with a short warm-up to prepare your body, prevent injury, and get you into the right energy for class.
Each instructor has their own teaching style. Some may run through certain movements that will appear in the routine, while others may dive straight into teaching the choreography. The main portion of the class is spent learning the routine step by step, practicing at a slower speed, and gradually building up to full speed so you feel confident performing it.
The final 30 minutes is the most exciting part. You’ll be placed into smaller groups to be filmed. Dancers who stand out may be selected for a solo stage performance in front of everyone.
We finish every session with a big group photo together.
DO YOU OFFER CLASSES FOR ALL AGES?
Our classes are currently mixed ages, with lots of younger students in K-pop classes and some adults too. As a new studio, we're still growing and working towards offering age-specific classes in the future.
DO YOU OFFER PRIVATE LESSONS?
Yes. We offer private K-pop dance classes for small groups and can tailor a package based on what you're looking for. Please contact us for a quote.

WHICH CLASS IS RIGHT FOR ME?
Foundation classes focus on Jazz-Funk and Hip-Hop basics and are open to all levels. They’re designed to build strong foundations and confidence.
K-Pop classes are our most popular and what we specialise in. They focus on learning choreography from K-pop songs, with an emphasis on performance, musicality, and group dynamics.
Choreography classes feature original routines from our in-house choreographers and are ideal for dancers who want to challenge themselves and explore beyond K-pop.
WHY SHOULD I ATTEND OTHER CLASSES IF I ONLY LIKE K-POP?
The thing is, K-pop isn’t a style on its own. It’s a mix of styles like Hip-Hop, Jazz-Funk, and modern street dance, and it’s defined by things like intricate formation changes and memorable, repetitive moves that match the song.
CAN FOUNDATION AND CHOREOGRAPHY HELP ME GET BETTER AT K-POP?
Yes. By attending foundation classes, you strengthen your technique, improve your timing, and gain the confidence to hit every move accurately.

DO YOU RUN POP-UP CLASSES?
Yes! Our pop-up choreography classes are led by renowned choreographers from around the world, bringing fresh styles and unique techniques straight to GENESIZ!
These one-time sessions are a fun and creative way to explore dance beyond your usual classes, with dynamic routines that blend various styles and challenge your skills.
You’ll get the chance to push yourself, express your artistry, and experience different teaching approaches, all in an energetic, inspiring, and supportive environment.
Pop-up classes start at £15, and some may cost more depending on the choreographer.

DO YOU HAVE A K-POP DANCE COVER TEAM?
Yes! We have our very own GENESIZ Crew, a performance-based dance team that represents the studio at events throughout the year. Members take part in regular rehearsals and work on dance cover projects, creating opportunities to improve technique, build confidence, collaborate with other dancers, and perform in front of live audiences.
We typically hold annual dance crew auditions in Southampton, giving everyone the chance to apply and showcase their skills. In some cases, dancers may also be handpicked based on their performance, consistency, and attitude in classes.
